Dr. Claus Muschallik (MBA) is the CEO and founder of Coffee Electronics (Pte. Ltd.). He was born 1966 from a Colombian mother and a German father. He received the Engineer Degree from the Technical University of Munich 1989. Upon graduation, he worked for 8 years with the Deutsche Thomson-Brandt under the RF-Laboratories of the Corporate Research & Advanced Development Division. He was in charge of the development of the first front-end prototype for digital terrestrial TV worldwide, being member of the standardization group for DVB-T. In addition, he was also engaged in the RF front-end development of cable and satellite and led the project return channel for cable. In 1998, he joined Siemens Semiconductors (today Infineon Technologies) working as semiconductor applications engineer. In 2000, he obtained his Ph.D. from the Technical University of Braunschweig with a major in Digital Signal Processing. In the course of his career Dr. Muschallik was appointed as the project leader for WLAN and program manager DVB-H. He spent some years in R&D, application and technical marketing of discretes and Tuner semiconductors under the Wireless Marketing Application group. In 2002 he was delegated to Singapore where he set up and expanded an application and system support laboratory for RF and digital signal processing activities. 2005 he was worldwide head of a group of 20 engineers covering the areas RF, analog/digital signal processing and software/firmware until 2008, were he took over the direction of the Tuner division (~50 Mio. Euro revenue) with full P&L responsibility. He collected valuable experience in general management while heading the marketing/sales organization as well as interfacing logistic, finance, the factory and HR groups. 2011 he completed his MBA from the University of South Queensland in Australia, majoring in Finance.
Dr. Muschallik set-up Coffee Electronics in February 2012 and works there full time since May 2012. He is author of over a dozen of patents, similar quantity of international papers, is an IEEE member and Singapore Permanent Resident.
Michael Tiefenbacher has been supporting Coffee-Electronics in various functions and responsibilities since 2012. Michael was born 1959 in Austria and has a Dipl. Ing. Degree (equiv. ME) from the University of Technology Graz, Austria where he majored in Electronics and Information Technology. He has more than 25 years of experience in all areas of Product-Development and General Management. He has built his expertise earlier in Austria and Germany where his tasks was design and project-management, and subsequently in Singapore, China and the USA where his focus was on the operational management and leadership of large R&D-organizations. From 2001 to 2004, he was in Vice President of Infineon IC Development Center in Singapore. From 2004 to 2007, he was heading and leading Infineon Technologies Co Ltd in Xi’an, China as Managing Director and Vice President. Under his leadership the company became a showcase for successful setup of High-Tech Companies in Northern China. From 2007 to 2009, he was Senior Director of Qimondas DRAM Development Center in Cary, USA. Since 2009, he moved to Singapore where he provided Management Consulting to High Tech Companies in China, Singapore and Malaysia. His core competence is in the area of implementing ‘Sustainable Success in Product Development’.
